SEOUL, South Korea - Conrad Seoul held a donation ceremony to deliver the proceeds from its "CONRAD in PINK" campaign, making a donation of KRW 5,000,000 to the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation. The monies raised were part of the 'CONRAD in PINK' campaign that was conducted throughout the month of October. Kate Park from Conrad Seoul and Dongyoung No, the chairman of the foundation, attended the ceremony. The donations will be used to conduct surgeries and treatments for breast cancer patients as well as funding new campaigns to expand breast cancer awareness.
Conrad Seoul introduced a special 'Pink is Love Package' during October, the month of breast cancer awareness, and donated a portion of the proceeds from each package to the Foundation. This act of generosity went beyond the hotel itself, with package patrons encouraged to also participate as campaign donors.
During the ceremony, Kate Park form Conrad Seoul remarked "It is a great honor to be part of such a meaningful event. We undertook this initiative to draw continuous attention to this serious health issue and encourage women to take responsibility for their well-being". Dongyoung No, the chairman of the foundation, expressed his gratitude, saying "Conrad Seoul's contributions will be a great encouragement to those patients who are suffering from breast cancer"
Beside the donation, Conrad Seoul conducted its own campaign 'CONRAD in PINK' during October, involving all of the employees at Conrad Seoul. All participants wore pink ribbon badges, and voluntarily joined the Pink Ribbon Love Marathon to heighten the awareness and importance of breast cancer prevention.
